Sweet grass is a traditional incense of the
Plains Indians, often used after a cleansing
smoke of sage or cedar. It is a long grass,
typically sold in braids. Suggested use is to
cut off the tip and offer it back to the land,
then light the braid tip until smoldering, or
cut off small pieces and burn them over charcoal.
This smoke offers a gentle sweetening of the
atmosphere, bringing peace, harmony and healing.
