An Interview with Peace Mother Geeta Sacred Song
For BR International Magazine - July 2002
by Yves Vaz

Peace Mother Geeta Sacred Song
(An International Peace Shaman)

Peace Mother Peace Mother Geeta Sacred Song is of Mexican Indian descent. She is a proven Channel for Divine Mother (God) whose blessings she invokes to alleviate suffering on Earth. Well versed in the Mayan, Tibetan, Native American and Indian spiritual traditions, she seeks to establish celestial connections between us and our spirit guides or ancestors – call them guardian angels, if you will. In this manner, she may be said to have spiritual curative powers to dissolve disease and counteract negative karma.

Through spiritual cleansing, she attempts to rectify imbalances and strengthen individual aura. The quality of spiritual uplift she aims at for the individual – or on a collective basis, in devotees and followers, in groups, or in society – is meant to achieve enlightenment and peace for all.

Peace Mother Geeta Sacred Song visited Hong Kong recently. She gave several discourses, also practical demonstrations of various ceremonies practiced within the scope of her Shamanic Healing and Karmic Dissolution.

YV: Are your spiritual gifts quite common among native Mexican Indians or is it a unique gift you personally possess?

PM: Yes and no. It does come partly from that and partly from the karmic training that I have had from India. I observe a lot of Indian traditions. The mantras, for example.

Spirituality runs among my people at varying levels. The only claim that I make is that the Divine Mother loves everyone. For some reason, she utilizes me as her instrument. I have cultivated that gift. It is my destiny. It is a gift that is also available to other people if they will do the work. If they can cultivate through grace and through self-effort a desire to serve God unconditionally – which means, wherever you send me, I will go; whatever you ask of me, I will do.

This is not so easy for a human being. Why me? A million reasons. Karma is so mysterious. It’s difficult to explain. However, somehow we came to a point where we were given enough grace (my sister is the same), and now we have this great ability and pleasure and honour to do the work.

So the love that God has for people, we let it come through. We don’t get in the way. It is my prayer to get out of the way and let Divine Mother do what she must do for every person that crosses our path. The job is to serve and to love.

Everybody wants to sit in the chair, but this is the hot seat. I didn’t know enough to be afraid. But if you are willing to take one step, the grace will help you take the next and the next.

The dark forces can hurt you. But we have protection from the Divine, from our spirit guides, from our ancestors.

YV: Are you able to pass on your spiritual gifts to others?Peace Mother with Sandee Harilela and Vijay Mahbubani

PM: It rubs off as much as the student or apprentice is willing to receive. You can’t make somebody take it. You can offer it, you can demonstrate it. You can live it, you can breathe it. But each one has his own capacity. There is an ocean of knowledge out there. Some bring along a bucket to fill for themselves, some bring a thimble and stop at a thimble-full of knowledge.

YV: You are tapping into a life force. This contact that you are making, is it something akin to other practices such as the Japanese Reiki?

PM: It is similar. But it goes deeper and I will tell you why. Many people who practice Reiki come to me for help because somehow they didn’t get taught how to protect themselves. What I do is not just about tapping in. No, tap in and then what? I was given a complete training about energetics and how it works. There is danger and there are endless mysteries. Do we have a complete understanding? We can go to Reiki and heal somebody; we can give massage and heal, we can give acupressure, acupuncture and heal; however, do we have a complete understanding of the human psyche? Of the sacred struggle of the earth? Of the sacred blessings that are available here? Of the unlimited potential of the self? Of the dangers of the dark side? Do we understand it all? I believe in what the Divine Mother does through me because people from different practices come to me to be healed. So it means that there is something not complete in what they are doing. But I’m happy they are doing it. They are on their way to being able to do it more completely.

I have found that in most modalities and paths, people have not yet got to the point where they are willing to admit that there is a dark side that they have to be aware of. They are afraid of it. They want to think it doesn’t exist. Therefore they are targets and can be utilized by the dark forces. For example, by allowing themselves to become angry, petty, jealous, frustrated, lacking in faith. They are healers, but they are still feeding the dark forces.

Peace Mother with Br's Yves VazYV: Is there any similarity between what you do and voodoo?

PM: First of all, I’m not an expert in voodoo. I’m not knowledgeable in it. But everything that mankind does has a similarity to voodoo. If you set a goal and you go for that goal with positive thinking, there is a similarity between that and voodoo. Because you are focusing and the principles that are used by the dark side and the principles that are used by the light side are the same. The law can be used for good or for wrong. Medicine can be used for good or for wrong. Media can be used for good and for destructive purposes. There are healers who can damage you or cure you.

I had a chiropractor who came to see me a month ago. He was trained in shamanism when he was younger but he stopped doing his spiritual practices. Apparently, darker forces had got on to him. If you had gone and had a session with him, he would be touching you with negative forces and pass on something negative to you.

So it’s important for every healer to keep himself supremely clean.

A healer wanted to heal her friend. She gave her some sacred medicine known as payoti which the native Americans use as very ceremonial sacred medicine. If done wrongly without understanding, it can bring dire consequences as happened in this case.

Everything can be used for good or bad. For example, words. Words can be used for healing or words can also be used for killing or breaking a heart.

YV: Do you see spirits around you that are in fact invisible to the rest of us?

PM: Sometimes. At other times, I sense it. It is our relationship with the energy. Everyone experiences this differently. I myself, sense more than I see.

YV: In most religions it appears that believers need to personify God. Is it the same with you when you refer to a Father-God and Mother-God? Is abstraction not enough when we formulate the concept of God?

PM: I believe that your spiritual path should be unique to you. You get to eat your ice-cream the way you like it. I like my ice-cream with a face. I love the form. I like light. I don’t like to sleep in a dark room. I can only speak for myself and I love the form. I love the statues, I love the pictures. I love to annoint them. I need a very personal relationship. I’m like that. This is the way I am.

I say Mother-God and Father-God so that everybody can feel comfortable.

YV: We are witnessing an increasing frequency and destructive power of natural disasters. Please elucidate on cause and effect, the whys and wherefores. Remedies, if any? Is humanity being punished for abusing the environment? How can we make amends and restore the balance, as you call it?

PM: Not that the earth is punishing us. It’s just the law. We mustn’t take it personally, but we must do something about it. We have not taken care of the earth forces. Therefore the earth forces now are out of balance. It’s the same with the body, if you don’t take care of the body, then you have a breakdown. It’s not that the body is punishing you, it’s alerting you. Yes, there is an increase in disasters, and yes, we can change it because we are so powerful, but we have to do the right thing which is – LOVE THE EARTH! Give her thanks. Pay attention.

YV: Isn’t there such a thing as the point of no return?

PM: I don't believe in that. Mind is builder. This (the mind) is where the universe comes from. This is our reality. And I believe that there are millions of realities, not just one or two. If we all joined our minds and decided to create a parallel universe, it generates a wave. We must dream the dream and not the nightmare. While we may perish, the earth will never perish - it will go on without end. It will continue to cleanse itself because this the reality that is held in space. Only the players change.

YV: You will be visiting Gujarat in India next month with the Global Wisdom Circle to bring about harmony between Hindus and Muslims. How hopeful are you about the success of that undertaking?

PM: We don’t have expectations, but we have faith that whatever we go and do, much more will be done than is seen by the human eye. We are taking with us celestial beings that are cheering on this whole idea and they will do what can be done at this level. It is not our job to smell how success looks or feels; that is to be determined by them. But definitely it will be a success because we will go there, we will have a Muslim leader and a Hindu leader with us. We will have a Tibetan leader with us. We will be showing unity. Already it is a success because we will all be showing unity and doing the ceremony together. We will show, not tolerance, but understanding, compassion, kindness and respect. The war beings (of the spirit world) will be fed; they will dissolve and move out. And so, it has to be positive. And that’s all we care about. To take things in a positive direction.

YV: The Earth Blessing Ceremony that you perform – is it a similar exercise in intent as the Bhumi Pooja done in India before building and construction work commences on the land?

PM: In the Mayan tradition, we do the same thing. We never build before addressing the spirits.
