"My immediate response to this painting (Sacred Sites) was ‘Madonna and Child’. I see an arrow pointing upwards to the right…a golden heart area to the center left and the irregular edges radiated a silver halo effect. Even after reading the title and the text I saw mother and child. The feeling it gave me was peacefulness and hope. I feel the message to me was “Guardians are present!” On a third mediation I began to see faces. To the far left – a Light Being, whom some would call an extra-terrestrial or ET. I have a strong sense of the angelic realm in this work with a feeling we are meant to pay attention not only to the within but to the outer realms as well. For me, this image is about a woman’s place…a place of fertility and feminine based rituals. Possibly this is why a woman – a Mother – was called to protect and ensure its preservation."
